Does my Camera need to be set up after being moved?

Here’s what you will need to do: If you have unplugged your Camera, then plug it in again in the same WiFi environment. It will automatically reconnect to the WiFi network. This may require a few minutes. If your Camera doesn’t connect to the WiFi network automatically, please follow these steps: Open the app and tap the plus sign icon at the top left. Select ‘Add Device’. Select the device you want to add. Follow the steps in the app to set up Camera again. Please call our customer care if you face any trouble with the set-up. As long as you add the Camera to the app – logged into the same account – you will still be able to view and access the Event Videos stored on the cloud.

Can I use the Camera outdoors?

No, the Camera is not designed for the outdoor usage. It can only be used indoors.

What happens to a Camera’s cloud-stored event videos if I delete/remove a camera in the app?

If you delete/remove a camera in the app, the associated events will remain available in the cloud for the standard 7-day duration.

Does the Camera need to be connected to a power source all the time?

Yes. The Camera always requires to be connected to a power source.

Can the Camera be used offline?

Yes. You can install a MicroSD card in your Camera for continuous recording of the footage or for recording the Event Video Clips without a working Wi-fi connection. However, to get the best experience, it’s advised that you keep your Camera connected to broadband/internet to access live stream and receive event notifications. When your Camera is offline, you will not be able to connect to the Camera via app, access live stream or get alerts regarding sound/motion detection.

Your Camera will be installed by our technician once we receive your order. All you need to do is schedule an installation appointment after placing the order. Our technician will visit you as per the appointment and complete the installation.

Will the Camera work without subscription?

No, you must be a Tata Play DTH subscriber and must also subscribe to Tata Play Secure for the Camera to work.

Is internet facility required for this Camera?

Yes. To set up and configure the CCTV Camera in Mobile App, you need to be connected to the internet with a minimum speed of 1.5 MBPS.

What kind of Wi-fi network will the Camera work with?

Your Camera supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only. It will not work on 5 GHz networks. If you have a dual band router (with both 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks) please check that you’re connecting to the 2.4 GHz network. If not, please contact your Internet Service Provider for support.
